Mahendra Engineering College is the founding Engineering Institution of
Mahendra Educational Trust (MET). The College was started in 1995 with
three branches of engineering, namely B.E.Computer Science Engineering,
B.E. Electronics and Communication Engineering and B.E.
Mechanical Engineering, approved by AICTE and affiliated to the University of Madras. Today, the College offers several Undergraduate and Postgraduate programmes in Engineering, Computer Applications and Applied Sciences. The Students strength has grown from 180 in 1995 to about 2500 in 2008.
